Overall rating of this office:I called the national Social Security number and set up a appointment at the Crescent City office to apply for.my Social Security.Benifits. The day of the appointment I showed up at the office 10 minutes early. Absolutely no one was in the waiting room after checking in at the kiosk I still had to wait 5 minutes.to be called up to agent. I was then told I didn't have a appointment until the 17th and it was a phone interview.. I asked.who changed it and why wasn't I notified. She said I couldn't be helped in the Crescent City office and had to go to North Bend OR. I said why when I live 22 miles from that office and 120 from North Bend I was told it went by districts. I can not understand what the difference is when they are both federal offices. All so my husband had applied for his benefits in the Crescent City office.
Not only was the agent dude she could not answer my questions because I don't live integrity area. I called the 800 number when I got home and they could we someone changed my appointment to a phone interview but not who. Again the office had no one in it and she could of helped me I would like hear from a supervisor and will also be contacting my congressman and senator. As you are federal employees that my taxes.pay your salary. And no social security is not an entitlement as myself and my employer s have paid into it since I had my first job.

I called the Crescent City office today using the 1-855-727-3600 number, with a serious problem! After 20 minutes on hold the damn system hung up on me! No this wasn't a dropped call, the damn system is PROGRAMED to do this! Out of control bureaucracy right here in Crescent City!!!!!
