i have been on hold for 5 hours all SSA offices in my area are closed what are you suppose to do?

Have TRIED (!) on numerous occasions ( in person & by phone) to get information on my personal disability that has been withheld for over 6 months due to some misinformation ss has on file about me. They only have to verify a date! I just don’t understand why it’s taking so long after 2 formal requests on my part
