I submitted an application for benefits July of 2022 and have not received any reply. My review status has not changed in over 5 months. When I call to check there is nothing that SS can tell me that is holding up my application. I have worked a steady job for over 50 years. I only want what is due to my and promised by our government.

Waited for 3 months after submitting application; phoned main SS office and they referred me here. After a short wait, talked to someone who found my file and processed it in 10 minutes. Very appreciative of her help, but I really didn't need 12 weeks of stress.....

I recieved a letter telling me to call a Ms Molina at the SSA. I have been making10+ calls a day for a month now and all I get is a message to leave name and number. Is this a valid number? Any help is appreciated.

No star! I applied on November 2nd and the site says 2-4 weeks for it to be processed. It is January 10th, still no email! While I understand there is a back log, I also saw that my wife recieved her email back in 3 weeks from Denver. I have worked 40 years and need my benifits now! This just isn't right.

Impossible to get ahold of anyone at this office. This is a joke. I have been waiting 6 + weeks for their "decision" on my application. The website says 2-4 weeks. I paid into this system for over 43 years! I want my money. This is total bs!

On November 10 2021 I processed an online request to begin my Medicare coverage in February 2022 which is the month I turn 65.  The website indicates that my request is being processed in the Salinas location and should take 2 to 4 weeks.  It has been over 4 weeks and I have not heard anything from you.  I have called multiple times and only get dumped to your voicemail box.  Even though I have left a message for a call back nobody seems to contact me.
I need to know when this request will be processed because I need to still secure a supplement policy to complete my health insurance coverage. I'm not sure why this is taking so long as I have always worked for a large corporate entity and I know my eligibility has been met.
I have requested assistance from my state senator to hopefully expedite my request.  I feel like this is overkill but at this time your inactivity has provided me with no other option.  Thanks in advance for any information you can provide me.

I have been trying to reach Melanie at ext 2005033574 from the Salinas Workload Support Unit. I missed her calls yesterday because my cell flagged the number as SPAM. This is in regard to my SS and Medicare application that was completed on line. As of a few minutes ago, I have not received an email nor is there a message on my online SS account. I'm going on vacation soon and I need to get in touch with Melanie - - please help

The mailbox is full. I have made 4 attempts to call this office and the calls end before I can speak to anyone. This is the worst place to try to speak to anyone.

I applied June 28, 21 Still pending in part 2 since that date. I'm going to lose my home if they don't get this handled, I have no income now as I was forced to retire. It hasn't gone any further than the day I filed online3 months ago. This is such incompetence on the part of the SSA.

Would also give "no star" rating if possible. Applied June 1 2020 for benefits due in late September, which is the earliest timeframe to apply (4 months ahead). Website says file is "processing" and has said that since application was submitted. Left several messages for CA office with no reply. Finally contacted national office in August to learn the "processing" file hadn't even been assigned to anyone! Next day I got a call that the file was assigned. Since then nothing. Called national office again to learn that the CA office "only has a few verification questions" and the file should be approved, but no one has bothered to call or email or snail me with what those questions are. Have waited more weeks with no explanation, no contact, no results. If no action happens this week, I will contact my Congressional representatives.

At the 13 minute mark (twice) it seems that call was going to get a response. The first time, there was a moment of silence, then I was disconnected. The second time, the number for the person who was supposed to respond to the call was given. Then I was disconnected.

Been calling for 2 days. 7 digit extension for caseworker no longer works - changed to 10 digits. Call disconnects after 16 to 18 minutes holding.
On-Line SSA advised me to call. the main number for SSA disconnects after 60 minutes on hold.
Don't be tricked by the "Ask Social Security" ad. There is a fee and it is a private company. NOT a federal agency.

Would give it a "no star" rating if possible. Applied in November 2020 for benefits due in early February 2021. Not heard a word. In my file it says it's "processing". Has been processing since the day after I submitted app. Left messages/nothing. These people have earned a paycheck every day this year unlike the rest of the country. Call me.

Recieved a letter stating that I need to call in regards to my initial application for Social Security benefits dated 03/12/2020. I have called 2 times per day for the last 5 days & haven't received a return phone call as of this time.
