I've been trying to get my 84 year old mother's SSI payments reinstated for the past 4 months. Each time I call, I'm given different instructions on which number to fax backup documents to. When I call back, I'm told they have not received them. Then I'm told to mail them. Still not received. Told I should have sent via Certified Mail, which I do. Still not received. Called again and spoke to a Claims Rep, who told me to fax to his number. I do. Guess what? Documents not received. Very frustrating. Will now have to take time off from my job to sit for hours in their office and bring the same forms I've faxed, mailed, etc. In the meantime, my mom is scraping by to pay rent, utilities and groceries. Nice way to treat seniors. Typical Federal Government employees. DMV or Social Security Office, which is worse? BOTH ARE EVEN!
