I have been on the PHONE with the Wichita, KS local office now for over ONE HOUR, and a person has yet to pick up the phone to take my call. The phone, after being ON HOLD went to ringing as if someone were about to answer. It has been ringing non-stop now for 30 minutes. This is my second attempt to reach by phone, the call immediately preceding this one just went dead, so I have been trying now for 2 hours. My question cannot be answered ON LINE, believe me, I have tried THAT...far superior to dealing with government bureaucrats on the phone. I am a widow inquiring about spousal benefits...I just want a SS statement of my deceased spouses benefits that I might receive. If I cannot get my info ONLINE, and I cannot get my infor AT AN OFFICE, and I cannnot get someone to answer the damned phone, what the F am I supposed to DO?

It's been three months and the loss of a new job
because of the lack of proper ID. My new, now pervious employer couldn't allow me to remain with the company without my social security card....Thank you for closing your office to walk-ins, shutting down the website, and putting a recording on the phone,...i.e. no letters. Need I say more.....I wish to acquire a replacement card. ....so that I can get and keep a job....Thank you , seriously.....
perhaps you can send me a form to file out, and return to your office.....

I have tried calling this office on five consecutive days, different times of day, it doesn't matter, I never reach anyone. I wait for 20 minutes or more, then the automated system hangs up on me. I have tried six times now.

I'm not even talking about getting my issue resolved, I can't even get a human being on the phone to talk to.

At this point, I give up. I do not feel that I have an available resource to contact for social security.

I have two adult autistic children on SSDI for 11 years, and I have never had difficulty with an agent until today. Agent Pamela (PAM) was extremely condescending over the phone, and spoke to me in circles with no resolution to the problems I presented.

Approximately 6 weeks ago I filed for Medicare B but have not heard anything so as a result, I made a phone call today. I was told the paperwork was never received and given an address in Birmingham, AL to send my copies to. I was told that it will take approximately 60 days to process which means I am without medical coverage during that time. I'm wondering if I brought it to your office, would that speed up the process? And if so, do I need to make an appointment? I would appreciate your response. Thank you for your time.

Verry rude staff. Clames to have called for phone interview 3 times, but never did. Clames to have left voicemails, but never did. Waited a month for the interview, now says I need to wait another month. Verry rude people, just because my daughter has a mental illness, is no reason to treat people with disrespect. Needs new staff, people with common people skills.
