I need to drop Medicare part B because I'm still working and insured. I tried calling the Medicare number but after being on hold for over an hour I was told that they couldn't help me, it had to be SS. so I called that number and was on hold for 2 hours, finally hung up and called local office on Knapp ST grand rapids MI. after being on hold for an hour the lady who finally answered told me she couldn't help me but would transfer me to some one who could, so I get an answering service telling me he was not available and to leave name and number and he would call me back, yeah that never happened. so I called again the next day and after only 30 min some one answered the phone. when I explained that I called the previous day she curtly told me they were only at their desks 3 days a week, very rude. so then I asked her if I could just make an appointment to come in she told me they were booked out to the middle of December, don't help me. then she told me to walk in and go to window A, I'm pretty sure what that A stands for, so today I'm going to try to do that, but I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about the results to bad the service is so bad and the people so rude no need for that at all.

I am trying to set up an appointment as a survivor, but cannot get an operator to answer. I am 62 and a widow, my husband passed away in 1999, work is going to be cutting my hours, and I need to know if I can draw my husbands social security. If I could get a Friday appointment, that would be great.
