1)I leave there after not receiving my Sept. SSI payment only to be locked into the building, luckily I found a cleaning lady who was able to unlock a door for me to exit the building.
2)Get my monthly payment straightened out, or so I was lead to believe yet it comes in $250 less. I then get notification in the mail that I am suddenly getting outside income that I do not get and that is why it had be lowered and will take effect Oct. 1 yet seems to have already in Sept. Same document tells me due to their mistakes I am owed $500, yet haven't seen a penny. I'm told to call the local office here in Akron and "Ask to speak to Mr. Jackson" but when you call you either have to know the persons Ext # or you can dial in their first AND last name. Unfortunately his first name isn't Mr. so I am not able to speak to anyone. I will stop there but I have plenty to add as to how unpleasant all encounters with them have been and the entire administration is careless for the people they supposedly want to help!!
I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. Skinner from the Akron SSA office on the phone today. He helped me apply for my retirement benefits in a very professional yet personal way. Many thanks for making a task that I had long been dreading so easy and pleasurable.
