Can not get a hold of them. I am a Veteran, I have my medical covered by VA 100%.
Called Medicare to not take any money as I don't need them. I was Told to contact SS they mailed me a form I filled it out znd guess what not a dn thing happened. SS took170.00 out of my check. I'm pissed off now. I did this 3 months ago. I am tired of the Draconian methods our government now uses!! SS sucks!!

There is no link to the appt on-line on this page. There should be:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SSA is asking the public to first try to use online services before calling. If you cannot use these online services, you can find the phone number for your local office by using our Field Office Locator and looking under Additional Office Information. (Note, if you already had a scheduled appointment with your local office, an employee from that office will attempt to call you at your scheduled appointment time.)

I sent in the form and my ID to get a replacement card and instead they sent me a letter saying they put my information in a disability file. How do I get my card like the other people I sat on hold then it hung up on me. I cannot work without my card. I spoke with them before I sent the form how do you contact them? This is so annoying as I need my card I applied for it in December please help

Horible way to treat seniors. Waited 1 1/2 hours to speak with someone. Told them Omaha insurance company sold me a supliment plan G and said I did not need part B of medicare with this plan as long as I had part A medicare. Paid them $1,300 since February when I retired and just found out I had cancer and I have to pay 80% and the supliment plan is no good without part B. The social security person said bluntly that I can't get part B until June of 2020 so I said I'm I just supposed to die then after I have been paying into medical since it's conception. Sorry she said noting I can do and hung up.

I tried to speak with someone at SS and after going thru their long voice mail I was told I would be on hold for 45 minutes. I then tried to reach my local office but that number was the same and when I used the voice mail to request an appointment I was told no one was available and the voice mail hung up. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE , CANT REACH ANYONE . I GUESS I WILL NEED TO BO BY THE OFFICE AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEN GO BACK IN 2-3 MONTHS TO SEE SOMEONE ( THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO DO IN THE PAST AND EVERYONE I HAVE SPOKEN WITH HAS HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE). EVERYONE HAS HAD GREAT DIFFICULTY REACHING SOMEONE FOR AN APPOINTMENT OR INFORMATION!!!!!!!!
EVEN WORSE THAN THE POST OFFICE WHICH IS SAYING SOMETHING. I AM STILL IN PRETTY GOOD PHYSCIAL CONDITION, EDUCATED AND WORK . I DONT KNOW HOW SOMEONE WHO IS ELEDERLY , HARD OF HEARING , OR WHICH SLIGHT DEMENTIA OR MEMORY PROBLEMS CAN COPE WITH SS.

I need to edit my address and then send for proof of disability. I don't even see a site to log on. Why is everything so hard? The internet should make life easier. Now I have to return to the S.S. office again because you guys messed up my address.
