I, too, was asked for information to be returned in enclosed envelope which wasn't provided. I sent information to their POB before only to have it never received or attached to my account and required me to send additional notarized documents. None of the SSA phones are ever answered and question of address is not available to ask online.

I talked to an agent in early May and was told paperwork was to be sent that I needed ti fill out. First time the adress was wrong and never received it. Second time the person handling my case didn't send them out again for over 2 weeks. When I finally received them it was July 1st. This whole process has been ridiculous and causing me anxiety. I applied at the end of December 2021 and haven't heard back from anyone because no one returns my calls or seems to care. I have NO income and have been extremely patient. I sent the paperwork via fax and still cannot get confirmation that it was received and have called multiple times to get a voice mail and no one calls back. It cost me $63.00 to send 30 pages and I had to borrow the money to do it and I want it to be expedited at this point. I am very frustrated and need answers asap. I have no idea what is going on and I deserve to know because this is affecting my entire life. My case # is 293183 and I want to speak to a manger or supervisor now!!

Wasted 36 mins on two frustrating calls to this office. Was cut off the first time. Then told the second time I was being connected to a representative only to be told sorry we’re busy please try again later. Either they are severely short staffed or just don’t care.

I have been calling the Richmond CA office repeatedly for 3 days. If I get through & get on hold, eventually it rings & then the lines goes dead & disconnects. The other number is an eternal busy signal. I need urgently to talk to an agent. How could I make an appointment if there are no phone lines to access? Are you there?? Please help. What to do? I cannot get the info I need on the SS website. I called the national office & was on hold for hours. Finally a man picked up & said the Richmond office was handling my account & to call them but clearly I cannot. Is anyone there? Help, please.

I am rating '1' because I have not yet had a response to my mailed request for an in-person appointment (at the 'now closed' SSA Richmond, CA). I have been instructed to schedule a visit to have my UK birth cert. cited (proof of Medicare A eligibility). Ten phone calls of 30-45 minutes have not been successful - calls dropped out. I understand the difficulties with Covid-19 but there should be alternate avenues for submitting this kind of necessary information (e.g. ID.me) for an important service such as healthcare. Happy Holidays to the SSN staff nevertheless. :-)

I had been trying to call 1-800-772-1213 in the last few weeks.
The wait was so long and I did not mind ;however, after a long wait the phone calls got dropped.
The phone system needs to be fixed.

Thank you.

I have been waiting for an Apostilled benifits letter and cannot reach anyone to confirm that they received my request and when it will be completed. I have tracking that the mail was delivered. It is urgent and they don't seem to be very organized. there is no local number so you can only call the national number. This is ridiculous

I received a letter stating that records show that my deceased spouse Richard James Winick might be due Social Security Payments and sent me paperwork to complete send out and return to the Social Security Administration Western Program Service Center PO Box 2000, Richmond CA 94802-1791. Is this a scam or okay to mail it to this address. It has important information in the form. Thank you.

Receive a letter from SSA asking for information to be returned in the ENCLOSED ENVELOPE, of which there was not one. It is very difficult to comply with your request when important things are left out of the correspondence. This happens every year. Either, 1. enclose an envelope, or
2. change the letter.
Louse service as they do not answer the phone. I would give zero Stars if that were offered.

I am the payee for my son James M Shelton Jr. He was over paid the amount of $750.00 dollars in disability benefits. The over payment was paid back by use of my husbands Vista Card. Problem is SSA took out two separate payments electronically for A grand total of $1500.00 dollars instead of just the 750.00 owned. _One SSA electronic withdrawal was made from Visa on 06-03-18 and another on 06-05-18. How do I address this problem of the SSA taken to much money out of the Visa Account. Please contact me by email or at 801-513-0489. I need to get this matter resolved and the 750.00 over payment to SSI placed back into my husbands Visa Account.
