My name Is Karim Krouser I'm trying to make appointment so i can get a copy of my social security card.
I'm trying to make an appointment so i can get a copy of my social security card today
The hold time was a little long, but the woman who answered the phone was very professional, answered all my questions and made great suggestions. She was worth the wait.
I have been to this SS office several times over the past few years. The wait was a bit frustrating, but there were a lot of clients. Every staff member I've met with has been polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I must have left about 7 message to my worker explaining that I have a doctor appointment on day of phone interview. I have yet to hear from her. I don't want to fail to comply so I don't know what to do. My doctor's appointment concerns possible spinal surgery.
Poor customer service and very professional "attitude". Not all of us are on Social Security Disability for their mental issues, chronic fatigue or back pain. I went in for a SS card replacement first time was rather quick. Two months went by without receiving my sons card. I could not resolve over the phone and had to drive 45 min back to local office. I forgot the US passport for ID despite having my NY drivers license and the letter from the visit 2 months ago. "We sent it check with the post office". I told them that I called and I got an attitude (its not my problem). Now I need to return once again and my sons name and social security number is somewhere out there....
We Waited 1hour and 15 minutes until the 1 person who does replacement social security cards came back from lunch. If there are only certain times when you can get help with certain things, these hours should be posted so you don't wait needlessly. Really inefficient. Others at the office had waited over 3 hours for help. Security officer pleasant and courteous. We were also surprised that there were no automatic doors for disabled access.
Tried many times to reach an agent by phone...usually told all agents are busy, "goodbye". Finally put on hold for 10 minutes awaiting agent, then again told "goodbye". I needed to know what documentation was required before trekking into the office, but seems customer service is not available in the Poughkeepsie office.
