Before going to Defiance Office went online and found that my wife could not file for medicare online. Web site said you can go to the office without an appointment to complete this. But appointment is suggested.
Tried multiple times to call for appointment and no one ever answers the phone. No option to leave a message.
So we go to the office and sign in and wait our turn. When we go to the window we are told my wife will have to make an appointment to file for medicare. This is not what the web site says!!! Next available appointment is 6 weeks. You have got to be kidding, I could get an appointment with a heart doctor faster than this.
Now to top off the experience I mention to the lady that I called multiple times to make an appointment but not one answers the phone. Her reply is "we are to busy to return phone calls". And just who the hell does she thinks she is working for. My 50 years of paying into SS and Medicare gets me nothing but bad attitude from employees that need to learn about customer service.

After several attempts to call does anyone ever answer the phone? Does SS not have a system for leaving messages? Voice prompts would be better than nothing. Even music would be better than nothing (nothing means letting the phone ring and ring until you tire and hang up).

The computer shut me out before I had completed the form, and now I must wait 24 hours before I can enter again. It is so much easier to talk to a human being and get immediate feedback. It should not be so hard to get satisfaction.
