As recommended I called the 800 number and made an appointment to inquire about benefits I may be eligible for. Upon arrival I self checked in and within minutes was called to meet with a very knowledgeable young lady Ms. Brown. She helped me fill out my application and was very helpful. The entire transaction was so painless.
Do yourself a favor and even thought the hold time is very long on the telephone, make an appointment!
Dear Sir / Madam,
On March 9, I applied at your office in Ocala for a replacement Social Security card. The lady who took my application at Window 25 told me that I would get a response within 12 days. However, I have not received that response as yet. Please assist.

Tried to call several times and every time some one picked up the phone and hung up I wonder if we can be just a little more rude. I really like rude, no wonder no one wants to deal with the government and all of the crap. You guys are employee's just like everyone else out here in this world. The least you can do is answer the phone but I guess that is asking to much for the government.

Made an appointment and I was called right on time. It took a little longer to apply for my Social Security benefits but it was worth having to wait on hold on the phone.
