Hi! Are we able to come into the office to do our name change forms or do we still have to mail in form? Thanks!

I met with Naomi by phone on June the 7th. I just sent an email to the administration because I could not find this link. my life has been in so much turmoil since January 2021. My house burned down in January, we lost everything and some beloved pets as well. The whole front end of my car that was almost paid off had melted engine and all to the windshield. Then my husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away on August 16th. His final payment from SSA was deposited into my account on the 18th. I called the SSA and was told by 3 different agents that I would be allowed to keep that payment. Two days later it was snatched back from my account. I lost half of my income when he died. My salary is quite low so needless to say funds have been very tight since his passing. I was told that I would qualify for my husband's full SS in April when I turned 66 and 4 months. I called in April as I was told to do and found out that the agent I had spoken with dropped the ball and I could not get an appointment until June seventh. That was the day I met and angel on Earth named Naomi, who by the grace of God was able to help me finally. She was so very kind as I bawled my eyes out and tried to share my troubles with her. She was able to get that last payment returned to me which I received to my surprise in my account on Wednesday. She also took my application to begin receiving my husband's social security as well. that also appeared by a huge surprise on wednesday. I went onto my bank account on wednesday evening to figure out if I had enough money to make my car payment. To my astonishment the bank was letting me know that my account balance had gone above a threshold. I almost fainted. I was freaking out because I thought just one more catastrophy had befallen me. Totally unexpectedly i checked the account and all of the Social Security money was in my account with no hold on it even. I will never be able to thank Naomi enough for literally saving my life. This is at least some small act I can do to let her know how grateful I am for her kindness. Please if there is some small acknowledgement you can give her I would appreciate it. I know you folks don't often receive good reviews for taxpayers, so I just wanted to let Naomi know how grateful I am to her. Thank you, Jackie Dodson

Mr. Grau was extremely knowledgeable, polite and professional when I had a conversation with him earlier today. His work ethic needs to be recognized. Thank you.

Would like to express a b ig Thank you to Ms. Barkley for doing an outstanding and professional job. Ms. Barkley was very polite and her patience level is very high. She worked with me explaining each step and correcting the application I filled out on line. I always ask a lot of questions and my nature is to be very inpatient, and get it done. Ms. Barkley would let me blow off, very calmly she would bring us back on the topic and she was professional and very polite at all times. Just making sure Ms. Dailey and the upper management of Social Security are aware of this gem of an employee. So Thank You, for this wonderful experience and what a professional group you have working in the Frederick Social Security Office.
