All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person service starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. This decision protects the population—older Americans and people with underlying medical conditions—and SSA employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, SSA is still able to provide critical services.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SSA is asking the public to first try to use online services before calling. If you cannot use these online services, you can find the phone number for your local office by using our Field Office Locator and looking under Additional Office Information. (Note, if you already had a scheduled appointment with your local office, an employee from that office will attempt to call you at your scheduled appointment time.)

I didn't go in but called for an appointment. The phone rep was extremely rude and I told him so. At, that point all he wanted to do was argue with we. "How am I bring rude, we have other people to wait on" I need to apply for widows benefits and just wanted to make an appointment and find out what I need to bring to the appointment, but he wanted
Recently there has been so much turnover at Sandusky OH local SSA. Everyone I was used to dealing with is gone; staff working is so overworked that they are rude by verbal and body language. I would have gave it a few months ago a 4+ stars. They need more help or new help. I basically got pushed off for something very important and appointments not until December. I even asked if it could be worked on and then mailed to me, she printed out a few papers which meant absolutely nothing for what I was asking.
I am 65 years old I have Medicare insurance Can I treat my teeth? does the insurance cover this treatment?Or you have to buy a different insurance for teeth
Very rude. Interrupting, belitting comments and very slow paced
Very rude on phone call to make an appointment! Rep just wanted to argue with me. if this were a business, I would never use them! Who knew that making an appointment would be so complicated. Hung up without an appointment.
