Can't reach a person. Left 7 messages and no one will call me back. I've been hung up on 5 times in 1 day
I went in at 10:15 in the morning for a name change. I went to get a number, it didn't give me a receipt with the number on it so I didn't know what my number was. I asked the security guard and he said to just wait until my name was called. Then I get called up pretty fast, I was number G15. All they did was ask if I had all the documents and then to sit back down. I sat there until 2:30 in the afternoon. The amount of time that it took her to ask me about my documents was the same time that it would have taken her to put it in the computer. They called up to 74 more numbers (creating a massive wait) and maybe called a name to actually help someone every hour or so. There was only two people working at the desks. At 2:30 when they actually called my name it took literally 5 minutes for her to put my name change in the computer and give me a receipt. Not to mention I was not asked for an ID or proof of who I even was. Granted I had my Navy uniform on, but it is very easy to get a uniform with someone else's last name on it. So I could have literally at that moment changed someone else's name. Most ridiculous social security office, I wish I had went to a different one.
