My Husband passed away 12/12/21 and I have been trying to get his SS transferred to me. I have called many times and no answer and if it did answer was told someone will call me back in two weeks and they never did two times. Please I need his SS to live on. What must I do to get it?

Have called multiple times. No agents are ever available and after long hold times waiting for an agent, invariably my connection is dropped, repeatedly. I've tried sending documents by certified mail and have been unable to get any response or acknowledgement of my appeal. For all practical purposes this is a non-existent office.
